Production
The Production program at BiG Heroes blends creativity, skill-building, and enterprise to support adults with special abilities as they create products for sale to the community. Guided by BiG Heroes’ Artist in Residence, participants explore their creativity while developing practical skills related to production, quality, and collaboration. This program provides meaningful opportunities to contribute, create with purpose, and participate in a supportive, real-world enterprise environment.
What Members Experience
Members participate in a creative, hands-on environment where imagination and structure work side by side. Working alongside our Artist in Residence, participants explore artistic techniques while learning how to follow production processes, collaborate with peers, and take pride in the quality of their work. Members practice focus, patience, and problem-solving as they create products from start to finish, gaining confidence through repetition, guidance, and the satisfaction of seeing their creativity take shape.
Why This Matters
Creative enterprise offers more than artistic expression, it provides a meaningful pathway to confidence, purpose, and independence. Through the Production program, members experience what it means to contribute to something valued by others, reinforcing a sense of ownership and accomplishment. The opportunity to create products that are shared with supporters affirms that their work matters, while the skills developed through the process support personal growth and future employment opportunities. This combination of creativity, contribution, and community connection is essential to building lasting belonging.
